Our History
John Lupoli began visiting Highlands in the 1950s during childhood summer vacations with his parents, who were public school educators in Miami, Florida.
In 1975, when it came time for John to leave home and start his own life, he decided to make Highlands his permanent home. Over the next few years, he painted houses and worked on small renovation jobs to make ends meet. It was during that time that John discovered his talent for construction and deep adoration for the community’s beauty and charm, all of which have grown exponentially with each passing year. John then began renovating commercial space in Highlands' Main Street district and earned a reputation as a builder with a unique vision and unwavering commitment to quality and superior craftsmanship.
After honing his skills as a builder, John officially founded Lupoli Construction in 1982. Since then, Lupoli homes have been known for their balance between environmentally responsible design and elegant European styling. Thanks to the incredible team of professionals in the Lupoli Construction family, past and present, the company has maintained a long-standing reputation of character and prestige.
